Liliana Nader Ballan :|: December 31, 2001

On December 27, 2001, following a distortion in the left knee, I was taken to the emergency room at "L'Hôpital N.D. du Liban" hospital. The orthopedic surgeon, Dr Jean Khoury, identified lesions of the meniscus after diagnosis by a meniscography On December 31, 2001, Dr Khoury ordered an M.R.I. I was to receive the results on Wednesday, January 2, 2002.

On this same day, a mass was celebrated with the intention to beautify the young Fathi Baladi, at the "St. Sauveur" monastery church. I prayed deeply to Fathi to cure me.

When mass ended, I listened emotionally to the testimonies given by people who have received graces from Fathi.

Afterwards, we headed to the stairs leading to the tomb of Fathi. Taking a few steps down, I realized that my knee is functioning normally. Before his tomb where a great number of pilgrims were praying, I knelt in the presence of this pure soul. I prayed and trembled with tears flowing from my closed eyes.

As soon as my grateful prayer finished, I gave my testimony to the faithful and to the priests of the convent about my current healing by the intercession of Fathi.

At 1:30 pm, I visited Dr Jean Mattar as was agreed. "This lesion," he said, "is the result of a shock dating back a few years."

The M.R.I. showed the following results:

  • Suffering from a degenerative middle segment of the internal meniscus
  • Hypertrophy of knee cap cartilage
  • Slightly deep "trochleenne" gorge

I listened calmly then recited the events of my healing, bending my knee in front of him at will. Surprised and convinced: "No prescriptions", he said. "I simply need a picture of Fathi."

  • Mouna Hanna Jabbour Makhoul :|: May 28, 2001

In 1993 an excruciating pain radiated from my buttock. Dr Salome treated me. It was the start of a disk.

In October 1999 the pain recurred. Dr Salome prescribed "Mobie" pills and injections, then 12 "Seda-Douzabox" injections. Meanwhile the pain persisted. I consulted an orthopedic, Dr Raymond Nachef. At first radiography and IRM were taken with the following results: highly developed, severe degenerative discopathy in L4 and L5-S1 with severe bilateral inter-apophyseal osteoartluitis in L4-L5, resulting in an antelisthesis of L4-L5. I followed the prescription: Profenid and Zantac strictly, but without any favorable outcome.

I consulted with Dr. Joseph Ajram, orthopedic surgeon; according to him surgery is indispensable. Meanwhile, he proposed 12 sessions of physiotherapy with Airtal pills.

Dr. Michel Chayeb recommended "Feldene and Acupan", strong painkiller. Exhausted and weak, I went to Dr. Jean Pierre Grenier de Cardenal. "Surgery is urgent" he said ", you need six screws that will cost you five thousand US dollars". We were in October of 2000, when I was not able to sit, sleep or move. I had to accept surgery even though the idea terrified me.

Luckily, Mrs. Gina Choueiry gave me a picture of Fathi Baladi and told me with all confidence: "Pray for this Saint and you will be healed".

I gave myself up to praying for Christ and the Virgin Mary, and held an amicable conversation with Fathi. Frankly, I did not expect to receive this grace from him, because my plea was irregular. Nonetheless, Fathi did not ignore me.

On the 23rd of October 2000, commemorative date of my mother, I called on her from an aching heart to promote my prayers to the intercessor capable of curing me.

At dawn, 24 October 2000, I woke up not by my pains as usual, but with calm and rest. This was very surprising. I felt my head, my back, my shoulders, my legs; no pain. I took a few steps, bent down and knelt. My God! What is happening? Is this a response from heaven? Joy filled my soul. Yet I was troubled. Am I really before a miracle?

The following morning, I got up early, cheerful, joyful and active. Meanwhile one question preoccupied my mind: knowing the Saint who cured me.

Suddenly, I found myself in an illuminated area; legions of little angels waving cheerfully. I was in perfect bliss. And calmly, a slim, handsome and attractive young man wearing a completely white shirt appeared before me. He fixed his eyes on me with beauty and compassion. His good heartedness, his humility enchanted me. His eyes were telling me: "You desire knowing the one who cured you? It's me"...

I was confused from my ignorance. "I am thirsty," he said with an affectionate smile. I showed an unspeakable desire to compensate his kindness, his love and attention, in quenching his thirst. I offered him a crystal jar full of water. He took it and drank until the last drop, then disappeared along with the jar. It was six in the morning.

Yes Fathi! Your gentle eyes I experienced will forever be imprinted in my memory.

    Loucia Hanna Khalife :|: July 13, 1998

I have a picture of Fathi that his mother gave me, I keep it with affection on a small altar at my house, and on 16 January 1998, I saw oil propagating from the picture. I stared at it only to see blood drops between his eyebrows. I shivered, my God what is this? I held the picture, the oil ran off onto my hand, I knelt, prayed and promised him to recite the rosary everyday.

Previously on January 10, 1998 I started feeling pain in my intestines. The pain grew so intense that on January 25, I went to see Dr. Maurice Khokaz. After examining me, he ordered x-ray to be taken at Rizk hospital, in Beirut. The results showed a narrowing of the small intestine due to an "ileitis" disease and the Doctor advising me to stay in the hospital requested an urgent operation. I asked for a couple of days delay in order for me to have recourse to my intercessor Fathi Baladi, who has already cured me from heavy hearing.

The night of January 27, 1998 I suffered excruciating pains and at exactly 8:45 pm I felt an acute stroke that made me scream with pain: "I beseech you Fathi, deliver me". Then, I took his picture and put it on my stomach. At the same time a radiating light filled the room and I saw Fathi wearing a white shirt. He fixed his sight on me, saluted me with the sign of the cross and said: "No operation ever, I am with you, put your faith in me, my mission is to deliver the sick, tell the world of me". Then, Fathi and the light disappeared while perfumed incense filled the house.

I felt a change within me, became relaxed and rested. My body sweated, I put my hand on my stomach, no more pain; I regained my strength and felt hungry.

I stayed after this incident four months testing the miracle, and to make sure, I went to Rizk hospital, asked Dr. Khokaz to examine me again and take an x-ray.

On May 22, 1998 the results of the x-ray showed no narrowing of the intestine and the "ileitis" disease completely gone. Dr. Maurice Khokaz gave a report on May 25, 1998 confirming my instantaneous recovery.

Joseph and Micheline on behalf of their Son, Guy Salame :|: May 30, 1997

"It was in 1978 that our child was born. Since that time his right eye was suffering from a malady known as sturge-weber, glaucoma, tension and blocked tear ducts. But we didn't know anything about that.

"Six months later, the pediatrician Dr. Emile Ghassoub observed that the right eye had an anomaly. He advised us to consult Dr. Antoine Esta. The results of the diagnosis were disturbing. We then consulted other ophthalmologists: Drs. Philippe Touma, Salibi, Nehme, finally settling on Dr. Antoine Habib Khoury.

"At the Hotel-Die of France, on January 12, 1982, Dr. Khoury applied to Guy a general anesthesia for a precise diagnosis. According to him, surgical intervention was inevitable, although not guaranteed. However, he prescribed myopic medication and salves for Guy. We pursued this treatment for long years but that didn't put an end to our sufferings; our disquiet about the fate of our child's eye only increased.

"Our visits at Dr. Khoury's clinic multiplied. Sometimes the eye presented a certain progress; sometimes its condition grew worse. On April 24, 1985 Guy was operated on by Leizer to unblock the tear ducts. This operation was followed by a momentary improvement. But unfortunately, the malady recurred six months later. "Dr. Khoury then judged it necessary to apply an artificial duct, but as the child's body was in a developing state, the duct risked being closed.

"That was when the divine will and Fathi's intervention ended our sufferings. This happened when the John Abdel Karim family told us about the graces Fathi obtained for their daughter Rita. On the following Sunday, we went with great faith, love and hope to St. Michael's convent church. Kneeling before the altar built in his name, we implored Fathi with broken hearts, unable to hold back our tears, while Guy wiped with his fingers Fathi's name engraved on the altar, and passed them over his right eye.

"After this visit we were trustful and full of hope. Guy's mother had implored Fathi to give her a sign in case he would agree to heal her child. Two days later she had a vision: footprints on the door of the entrance. When she asked where these footprints came from, she heard a voice tell her: "These are Fathi's footprints."

"Another admirable fact: Fathi appeared in a white robe to our daughter Joelle and confirmed to her the healing of her brother.

"In the month of July 1987, while Dr. Khoury was examining Guy, he noticed something unusual: `Is it possible?' he said. This must be a miracle. His vision is very clear, while the pressure remains high.

"On the following Sunday, with joy in our hearts, we hastened to visit Fathi's parents to announce the good news to them.

"During our monthly visit, in August, 1987, the doctor was able to ell us: `His sight is excellent in spite of the high pressure and deterioration of the ocular nerves.' For any eventuality he requested an examination of his visual field by Dr. Houda Eid. The results given on October 5, 1987 confirmed the healing of his sight.

"In this moment of inexpressible happiness, all the joys of this earth belonged to us. Fathi's great love for children and young people allows us once again to await an upcoming event.

    Isabelle Tayah :|: Beirut :|: July 9, 1995

I was admitted to the Lebanese Hospital for hydatic cysts in the liver. I knew that extraction of cysts from the liver is a dangerous procedure and I prayed to Fathi Baladi to spare me the operation.

That night, he appeared to me in a white robe, passed his hand over my stomach and said: "Don't be afraid, you are healed".

The following morning, day of the operation, I saw my Fathi again dressed as a surgeon, white shirt and cap. He made a sign for me with his eyes confirming his intervention. That gave me courage and lifted my morale; the operation by Dr Maurice Farah went as quickly as it could.

Later, Dr Harb, assistant surgeon, announced to me the happy event: "Madame Isabelle, you have had a miracle: during the operation, we found out that the living hydatids detected by radiography yesterday were actually dead and the cysts were dry".

    Samia Joseph Mouhanna :|: Fathi's Tomb :|: July 27, 1991

In February 1991, I noticed a tumor in my right breast. The histopathological examination, which was made after a biopsy, identified a malignant cancer:

  • Invasive glandular epithelioma (carcinoma) of galactophores ducts, right breast.
  • Sign of scaring and blooming.
  • Positive axillary evidence

On February 22, 1991 Dr Farid Kahwagi, a specialist surgeon, took out my right breast which has been invaded by 17 malignant tumors. Then I had to have treatment from Dr George Chahine. He recommended medication for me for six months and that I be under his watch for five years in case the illness recur. In the fifth month after he operation, a tumor appeared on my right hand, recurrence of the disease. That was what we feared.

On Sunday July 27, 1991, before the tomb of Fathi Baladi, I lit a candle. Completely trusting in his favor, I rubbed the tumor against his name engraved on a plaque that is attached to the head stone, whispering to him: "I beg you Fathi save my life". Immediately, I noticed that the tumor started decreasing in size, then before long disappeared completely.

On Wednesday, July 30, 1991, at the Center of our Lady of Help (Jbeil), Dr G. Chahine did for me a general analysis for blood, echo-graphies and radiographies; the results given on July 31, 1991 was stupefying and the miracle confirmed.

    A great thank you, Fathi.

  • Mario Yalingadian :|: For Students :|: 1982

On the evening of Tuesday, March 9, 1982, I had to review Arabic grammar for a test the following day.

As I opened my bag, I remembered that I had lent my book to my friend Charbel Abboud. That bothered and troubled me, because as an Armenian I was weak in this subject.

At this uncomfortable moment, Fathi Baladi who had granted many favors to dad came to mind. Relying on his love to students, I asked him to help me pull through this test.

Next morning I resumed my prayers to Fathi. No sooner had I gone into the classroom than the teacher called me first to the blackboard. I trembled and felt my own heart beating heavily. But once I was before the blackboard I felt a supernatural eagerness.

I knew nothing about the questions she had asked me. However, I wrote as if somebody was manipulating my hand.

The results were stupefying; I got eighteen over twenty.

    Thanks, Fathi.

    Sanaa Antoine Mousalem :|: 20 August 2004

I the undersigned Sanaa wife of Antoine Mousalem, from Baabda, mother to three children, born in 1961 testify gratefully with a live conscious in recognition of the young, pious Fathi Baladi who granted me two miracles: my recovery from an incurable sickness and his blessing upon my sister in law, Fadoua, conceiving after 19 years of sterility.

I had been suffering from extreme dizziness with weakness in my whole body and loss of balance. At first, diagnosed as a temporary state Dr Elias Abdo at Heart of Jesus hospital prescribed vitamins. But my ailment was more than that and I consulted other doctors. Some attributed my sickness to the intestines, others to the gland. Dr John Paul Aoun, specialist in internal medicine, advised me to see a neurologist. After running tests, Dr Sami Al-Raii diagnosed my situation as an acute prostration and prescribed "Seroxat 20", a strong tranquilizer. I was to take the medicine once a day and if for any reason I were late, I felt num, fully exhausted and suffocated making me hurry to my medicine. This meant neither cancellation nor reduction in doze.

My worrisome physical and mental state cast a troubled atmosphere in my house and put me in despair of medicine; my only recourse was a heavenly miracle. I was visiting Dr Al-Raii once a month for three and a half years to monitor progression of the sickness.

I consulted Dr Joseline Sassine who after diagnosing the disease a "major depression type pseudo-coma" prescribed the same medicine. I stayed with her until the great miracle by the miracle maker, Fathi Baladi.

In January 2004, I saw a vision that affected my soul and changed the course of my life: a handsome young man with a bright face holding the holy book with his hands against his chest in the form of a cross. The only thing I remember from his holy clothing was the white collar of his shirt. He smiled at me and I smiled back. I have never seen this man before, or beauty like his beauty or tender smile like his smile. I asked him: "Are you a monk?"

He smiled at me once more and said: "I want you to pray for me" I promised him and he disappeared.

His figure stayed imprinted in my mind until May 6, 2004 when I visited Mrs. Fadia Saade, a co-member in the Sisterhood of St. Theresa, Baabda. She told me about her miraculous recovery from her incurable disease, "Scleroderma", by Fathi Baladi. And I told her in turn about the vision I had of a young man unknown to me. Intrigued, she started interrogating me about the features of this young man, his way of conversation and my feelings towards him. She smiled and showed me a picture of Fathi. After looking attentively at the picture, I was stunned and shaken recognizing that he was the one in my vision. I realized then, that I was before a messenger of God who graced me with his love and affection.

He smiled at me once more and said: "I want you to pray for me" I promised him and he disappeared. His figure stayed imprinted in my mind until May 6, 2004 when I visited Mrs. Fadia Saade, a co-member in the Sisterhood of St. Theresa, Baabda. Intrigued, she started interrogating me about the features of this young man, his way of conversation and my feelings towards him. She smiled and showed me a picture of Fathi. After looking attentively at the picture, I was stunned and shake

My first request was for my brother, Haikal Mousalem, who lives in Souhyle with his wife, Fadoua, for 19 years without being able to have children. I implored Fathi with faith and love. I said to him: "You are the medicine for my brother, and there is no other medicine but you". In fact, when Fathi's picture entered my brother's house, the miracle happened and his wife is in her third month of pregnancy. I continued praying for him, and Fathi continued his graces upon me. I said to him: "You have filled my brother's heart with joy, I beg of you cure me" and I put Fathi's picture on my forehead and asked. Suddenly, oil propagated from the picture onto my head and hands. I shivered. I believed that this heavenly oil was a sign of my cure. Without consulting the doctor, I stopped taking my medicine, "Seroxat". In fact, my pains stopped and all my symptoms disappeared in an instant. Here I am since June of 2004, enjoying my complete health because of you, most generous messenger of God. A month after my healthy recovery, joyful and energetic I visited and asked Dr Joseline Sassine for a report on the miraculous recovery from my illness. After attentively listening to me, inquiring about my state since stopping medication and the circumstances surrounding the occurrence of the miracle and its maker, she asked me for a picture of Fathi. She put it in her bag saying: "congratulation on your healing", then gave me her report dated 29 July 2004. All I wish for is that my testimony along with all the others helps declare your sainthood on earth. I love you.

    Haikal Badii Mousalem :|: 23 June 2004

I Haikal Badii Mousalem have been married to Fadoua Sfeir Mousalem for 19 years without being able to have children. We consulted many doctors, amongst them Nagi Afif and Joseph Aboud who prescribed various shots and injections. Alas we never had positive results and doctors lost hope in my wife conceiving until luck led us to a young man, Fathi Baladi, everybody testified about his ability to perform miracles. Two month ago my sister Sanaa gave me a picture of Fathi Baladi informing us of his ability to grant our requests and asked us to pray to him. My wife full of affection and faith increased her prayers to Fathi asking his intercession with God to bless her with a child. Two weeks past since then, she missed her period and I felt that I received a miracle. We went to see Dr Fadi Fahad who confirmed her pregnancy after a 20-year failure of medicine. We were very happy and gave thanks to Fathi. I am indebted to you Fathi. You are the most generous, bearer of happiness, affection and love. You came into our lives, gave us hope and enlightenment. We love you.

    Nadia Joseph Safi :|: 9 December 2007

After returning from a trip to Dubai early June 2007, my husband suffered severe lungs infection that put him in the hospital for examination and treatment. I was with him in the room attending for his needs.

That night my husband slept around 9:00 pm and I sat praying, worried, suddenly I remembered when we were in Dubai my friend Nayla Attieh told me about her, her husband and her six year old son receiving several graces from a pious young man called Fathi Baladi.

I asked my God Jesus if Fathi were truly one of his children to invoke him to give me a sensible sign. At that moment my husband called me to help him go to the bathroom. As soon as I turned the lights on, I found a green cross before me on the floor. Startled and shivering, I picked it up examining it, found it as if made from ancient dry herbs, and its masts linked and fixed with each other by some kind of fibers. This cross was certainly not there because earlier a few people had visited my husband in the room.

That event stirred up inside of me since that sign, the cross as a sign of salvation, proved the reality of Fathi’s sainthood, and I fell in tears.

Fully recovered, my husband was released from the hospital. I thanked Fathi for his grace and started increasing my prayers, my visits to his tomb and my requests for his help in a lot of things.

And I raised my thanks to God asking Him to glorify the pious Fathi so that His name be glorified in him.
